Hello and welcome to my office! I am Headmistress Annabelle. I have been the Headmistress here at Hogwarts for a very long time. I entered into Hogwarts at eleven like all of you. I was sorted into Ravenclaw and fell in love with the school's library from the first second I walked in. Suddenly in front of me was a wide range of books with amazing stories and information just waiting for me to read them. I fell into my studies quickly and accelerated fast. I just couldn't get enough! I was made Prefect, but I turned down the position of Head Girl. I couldn't see myself as a Head Girl. At the time, that was not something that interested me. I never regretted that choice either. When I graduated Hogwarts and was turned loose into the world I worked for a small term at St. Mungo's, then the Ministry but I quickly left that place. I then became a Home Study Professor for students of all schools that just needed the extra help over the summers. My time during the school year was spent traveling the world and learning from other amazing witches and wizards. Two years later I accepted a teaching post at Hogwarts. Care of Magical Creatures was never the same after that. We experienced a great variety of creatures, beasts and boons and laughed, joked, petted, swam, climbed and flew all with the creatures we were learning about. Six years later I became the Headmistress at this fine school and have not regretted that choice either. Now it is with great pleasure that I welcome the next round of students into these prestigious doors. You will walk our halls, study in our classrooms, pick the shelves in the library, and maybe catch the snitch. And all the while I will enjoy sharing the experience with you. While you are here, please remember that I have a complete and total open door policy. You may approach me with anything. If you have a suggestion, problems, concerns, or even just want someone to talk to, even if you need extra help with your classwork. Please do not be afraid to talk to me. I keep a roll of parchment and quill on the table right inside the door here and if I am not in, please jot down a quick note and I will seek you out to talk to you as soon as I see that you were here.
