Hello and Welcome to Gringotts Wizarding Bank. We are happy you have chosen to bank with us. Know that you money and valuables are in safe and good hands while they are in our vaults. Let us talk about some of the basic information that you will need to know to bank successfully here at Gringotts.
RULES
YOU must post in your vault, what you have spent. After you post it the Headmistress will come by (Usually on Friday's) and update your Gringotts vault. If you did not post it, it did not happen. The Headmistress will be watching shops closely to be sure that you are being honest with your vault.
YOU are responsible for double checking the Headmistress's math. It is very easy, with so many vaults, to make simple mistakes. If one happened, do not be a prat about it. Just post in your vault that you believe a mistake was made and explain where the math went wrong. FOR EXAMPLE you would post something like this. " Professor, I believe you made a mathematical mistake in my vault. It shows here that I have 50 Galleons. I had 75 Galleons before you updated. I bought 15 Galleons worth of items. (List stores you bought items at and when. If possible, a brief quote of the post you are mentioning) This should leave me with a remaining balance of 55 Galleons.
NEVER give out your Vault Password. This is your private information and you are responsible for it.
Great! Seems simple enough right? Good, lets move on to money conversions.
CONVERSIONS
Simple enough to remember? Pretty easy.
NOTE: You will never be asked to pay for anything on this site. EVER! the chart above shows the $1.00 Muggle Money on the chart simply for reference information. NOT because we want your money. We want you to keep your money and keep it safe like a goblin would a bar of gold.
Now that we have that information, please note that some of the shops have items priced for 10 + sickles or Knuts. Yes, it would be easier to list that price as 1 galleons. These prices were left for the nostalgia of the game. You may pay in the conversion if you wish. Or you can simply pay the asked price and let the Headmistress do the math. Whichever you prefer.
LOANS
You may get a loan from Gringotts vault if you wish. The money for the loan comes from the amount of money that is spent in all General shops ( not member owned shops). If you wish to get a loan from Gringotts, you will fill out the Loan application in the Loans Vault of Gringotts. If aprooved, you will be expected to pay back the loan. If you do not pay it back, your gringotts vault will be frozen, and all of your weekly deposits will be deposited into the loan vault instead until the loan is payed. If you go more than three weeks ( three paydays from the original time of the loan) and you do not make a payment at all, then you will be considered to be in default and your vault will be frozen.
